My husband and I are considering filing Chapter 13 bankruptcy and I am my childrens sole care provider. As long as my husband is employed, will I be expected to find employment? We have no other childcare options as we don’t have family or friends in the area.

We filed a few months ago, and in answer to your ?, no, that has nothing to do with it. My only advice is get a good lawyer and pay attnetion to what they tell you. We were advised improperly as it seemed our attorney was always busy and rushed us thru the process and now we are about to loose our house to foreclosure becuz she misadvised us on the “reafirming” process of the bankruptcy and now we can’t get a loan to try to catch up on the payments we got behind on. So if anyone has any advice for us I’d appreciate it too. Good Luck!
